Set within a spacious landscape of psychedelic progressive rock, the recording combines shimmering wah-wah guitar, swirling Hammond organ, delicate Mellotron textures and warm Fender Rhodes. Melodic bass and natural drums provide an unhurried foundation, while an expressive guitar solo carries the music into a soaring instrumental passage.
Zane Mercer's intimate, breathy tenor brings warmth and sensitivity to the storytelling, allowing the humour, wonder and quiet nostalgia to emerge naturally.
