YouTube showed “2 months ago (edited)” when collected.
Over the past year we've made it a point to read and reply to every comment we saw on our YouTube channel. Those conversations with you have become one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
Today, however, we discovered something that genuinely surprised us.
All of our releases also appear on YouTube Music as YouTube "Topic" releases.
Until now, we hadn't realised YouTube keeps a completely separate comments section for those releases, entirely independent of the comments on our main channel.
During our first year, Sessions on the Green® has been fortunate enough to receive almost 30 million views. Naturally, that has generated an enormous number of comments. As we began exploring this separate Topic section today, we discovered, to our amazement, there weren't just a handful waiting for us—there were thousands, and we're still only partway through working our way back.
The thought that so many of you took the time to leave kind words, share your thoughts, or simply say hello without receiving a reply is deeply disappointing to us. It was never intentional. Quite simply, we didn't know those comments existed because we'd never been shown them.
Now that we've found them, we're working through them one by one. It will take quite some time, but we'll be replying every day until we've caught up, and from now on we'll be checking both our channel comments and our Topic comments regularly so nobody is unintentionally overlooked again.
As Sessions on the Green® continues to grow, it's becoming clear that caring for this wonderful community is almost a full-time role in itself. One day we hope to have someone dedicated to community engagement, but for now it's still just our small studio team doing our very best.
Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and for continuing to share this journey with us. Whether your comment was left yesterday or a year ago, please know that it matters to us, and we're looking forward to finally saying thank you.
With gratitude,
The Sessions on the Green® Team 🌿
