@rodolfobuzzatto1239 recently wrote under A Kiss Before I Go:
“Estive com ela nesse mundo, vou lutar para tê-la em outro.”
I was with her in this world; I will fight to have her in another.
Until I read that, I’d always imagined he was the one who passed — the final goodbye, the kiss before he went. That’s how I wrote it, how I filmed it, how I heard it.
But Rodolfo’s words turned the story around. What if it was her who slipped away? What if he’s the one left behind, clinging to the memory of her laugh, her scent, her love — vowing to find her again, somewhere beyond the horizon of this life?
That small shift changes everything. It becomes a story of devotion that outlives death — a love that refuses to let go.
Thank you, Rodolfo, for reminding me that a song doesn’t end when it’s finished. It begins again in the heart of whoever listens. 🌹
