A voice that stayed with me… and still does.
Back in the day, I used to spend a lot of time in Singapore. One memory never left me — the cocktail lounge at the Dynasty Hotel, where Heather Fitzgerald would sing. Just her and her husband Harvey on the piano. No big production. Just pure, breathtaking vocals.
She wasn’t about flash or spectacle — just raw musical truth. Heather had some success in Singapore, released several records, and built a loyal following, all on the strength of her voice alone. That voice… unforgettable.
Listening to Scarlett Bentley sing Beneath the Falling Sky reminded me so much of Heather. That rare power. That depth. That honesty.

It’s a tribute to Ukraine, but also to the kind of voices that move us beyond words.
What do you think? Did Scarlett stir something in you too?
