Sometimes, something unexpected happens...
Every now and then, usually long after midnight, in the wee hours when we should really be at home, tucked up in bed, we'll try something that probably shouldn't work.
No expectations. No pressure. Just curiosity.
We recently had one of those nights.
What began as a beautiful minimalist piano composition by Henri Philippe Marchand gradually became something entirely new. New lyrics. A completely different arrangement. A new interpretation by Yara Washington. We simply let the music lead us wherever it wanted to go.
None of us expected what happened next.
When the final version finished playing, there was complete silence in the studio.
Then we played it again.
Pause for tissues.
And again.
It's one of those rare pieces that seems to reach somewhere words struggle to describe. Quiet, honest, deeply emotional... and somehow larger than the sum of all its parts.
As we paired it with the desert imagery you've seen glimpses of over the past couple of weeks, everything seemed to fall into place. The music and visuals felt as though they'd always belonged together.
We genuinely believe Where I Find Myself is one of the most beautiful pieces we've ever released.
We hope that, when you hear it, you'll find a little of yourself in it too.
Released today, here on YouTube and on all your favourite streaming platforms...
